One Hour Trail Ride Lesson:
This trail ride lesson is designed for beginning riders. You will learn how to handle a horse out on the trail. You will learn how to control, stop, sit and trot a horse. This lesson is designed to get you started so you can move up to my Adventure Trail Ride Lessons.
This lesson is also designed for those more experienced riders that ony have time for an hour ride. We will do exactly the same things as my adventure rides but it will just be a shorter ride. This is a great way to get yourself back in the saddle to do the longer rides.
Price for the one hour lesson is: $75.00
*Lessons only (I do not rent horses)
Adventure Trail ride lessons:
Trail ride lessons includes one on one instruction, with a focus on developing your equitation skills.
I am currently looking for new students to join my trail riding lesson program. If you are a rider and want to improve your trail riding skills, ride a quality horse, explore Griffith Park trails and commit to riding with me at least once or twice a month, I am the instructor for you.
This provides the very unique opportunity to receive personalized riding instruction while exploring Griffith Park trails. While most riding instruction takes place in the confines of an arena, this package is provided to get you out on the trail. Once out on the trail you will receive personalized instruction to learn trail riding skills. This riding lesson is designed for intermediate or above students. You need to be comfortable in the saddle and able to control a horse. We get right out on the trails and enjoy nature. I am more like a riding club for those who ride but do not own their own horse.
My lesson rides are designed for those who have had some experience on a horse. I do not teach first time riders due to the fact that we get out on the trails and ride. I have many students who ride with me that are already experienced riders, but want a fun and trained horse to ride (NOT A RENTAL HORSE). If you are just getting started with your horseback riding I would recommend that you contact Suzanne Peika from Silver Spur Riding Stables at 310-413-1648.
What will I learn:
You will learn to be a safe recreational trail rider. We go over trail safety, equine behavior, stoping, backing, a controlled trot and lope.
The horses will be saddled upon your arrival so we spend more time in the saddle compared to an hour in the arena. I have found that you need time to warm up, thats why it is so important to have an extended lesson time. Many of my students go on to ride with me once or twice a month.
I can not tell you how important it is to learn on a highly trained horse. I have taken a lot of time to train my horses to be just what you are looking for. This will give you the best learning experience. I have very reasonable rates to allow you to get started.

Some of our destinations include the Griffith Park Observatory, Bronson Caves, Mount Hollywood and the Gene Autry Museum. My horses only go out once a day so you are always guaranteed that the horse will be fresh and ready to go.
I look forward to hearing from you so we can set up a lesson.
Happy Trails
